This page explains how to delete your Tagufi account and the personal data associated with your Google Sign-In identity.
1. Delete your account in the app
You can delete your account at any time from within the app: open the menu and choose Delete account. This is the fastest route and does not require you to contact us.
When you do, we permanently remove your Tagufi sign-in account and your personal data, including your recommendations (thumbs up/down) and any pending or rejected submissions.
2. Request deletion by email
If you cannot use the in-app option, send an email to contact@tagufi.com.
- If possible, send the email from the Google account you used to sign in to Tagufi. This helps us locate and verify your account.
- Suggested subject line: “Delete my Tagufi account”.
- You may include a short note if you want to explain the request, but no explanation is required.
3. Your Google Account
Tagufi cannot delete your Google Account. Google Accounts are created and managed by Google. To delete or manage your Google Account, visit your Google Account settings.
4. What may be retained
Some information may remain in Tagufi after account deletion:
- Places and events you contributed that have already been approved may remain in the public directory, because they are community and business directory content describing businesses, locations and public events rather than you personally. We remove your name and email address from them, so they are no longer linked to you.
- Tagufi may retain limited submission records where necessary for moderation, safety, abuse prevention, legal, or operational reasons.
- Some non-identifying or aggregated information may be retained.

5. Saved places on your device
Local Saved Places are stored on your device, not on Tagufi’s servers. You can remove them by:
- unsaving individual places in the app;
- clearing the app’s data from your device’s app settings;
- uninstalling the Tagufi app.
